Magazine front cover

The first magazine cover that I have looked at is "Entertainment". This magazine has a cover story about a TV series called "The Walking Dead". This magazine cover is from 2012 and does not focus on horror specifically as "Entertainment" magazine also reviews different genre movies too. The house style of this "Entertainment" magazine suits horror genre the way they presents colours and layout of the cover I have looked at. The design of the cover looks extremely clean as colours are really sensible and clearly played out.the colours that they use are red and black that is very popular in horror genre as red synthesises blood that gives it's audience sense of horror. The horror genre is seen as we see mystery, you can not tell what is happening and what the characters are looking at, however they have their weapons are prepared to fight. Massive entertainment masthead that is in red that kind of gives imagination of the blood that The Walking Dead series if full of.  The yellow colour takes viewers attention to the different content this magazine offers. The images that this magazine uses are also well presented for this as it had images of two guys in the middle of the magazine cover. They do not have any practical weapons like guns but rather crossbow and knife. This show hat this TV series is going to be bloody as the knife and crossbow are very brutal weapons. That presents means that characters got not a lot weapons to fight with so they have to use what they got. This is very common for horror genre.

The second magazine that I have looked at was "Scream". This magazine specialises just on horror genre. The front cover of this magazine features killer from the classic horror genre of film "Friday The 13th". The House style of this magazine is more complex and unpleasant as magazine uses dark images and background. The main masthead and tittle is highlighted in bright colours like yellow and red that grabs attention straight away to its audience. The magazine looks extremely busy as it features famous characters from other horror tittles and some information below about magazine. the main images presents a killer that hold a massive machete that gives the fell of fair as entire image looks scare and gives it's audience to understand that this character is ready to kill someone with that sharp machete. the background used in the magazine is set in dark forest that kind of creates paranoid for its audience that is comment in horror genre.

Both magazine covers presents same genre however both of these poster got number of differences that separates them both. To start of with "Scream" magazine has a lot more contain that makes it look busier then "entertainment" magazine for example as this magazine cover only futures the main tittle and minimum information about the film series it self while "Scream" magazine is tempted to have a lot more contain along with left hand side that advertises different same genre films which is completely different compared with "entertainment" magazine. In another had both magazines has image right in the middle of person holding sharp weapon that both magazines has in comment as they both horror featuring characters from the movie. Moving on colour choose is a lot different in these both magazine covers as "scream" cover uses eye catching colours like yellow green or red that really stands out as their bright colours. The "entertainment" magazine is tempted to use a have a lot more professional layout that makes it look a lot cleaner then the "scream" magazine house style as it's different. The "Scream" magazine uses background from the movie "Friday the 13th" that futures forest that is different as "entertainment" magazine does not have it instead they uses simple grey colour for it's background.
